The monastery is also a place that regularly organises free medical examinations for the poor.

Gyalten Khen Rinpoche is currently the abbot of the monastery. He is also the Spiritual Director of the Awakening Vajra International organization. He regularly lectures, teaches meditation and Tibetan yoga in many countries in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.

Right now, many sections of the monastery still need to be completed - such as the main hall, the statues and scriptures. During Rinpoche’s teaching tour in Australia we wish to use the opportunity to raise funds to help the monastery.
